Im going to put a cage, subcage, and sliders on the rear axle of my 636 this winter.
Im thinking about taking the front fairing off and puttin a Z1000 headlight on.

tygershark cages are nice, the apex cage is decent, the triple bar cage is kinda overkill.... all their cages are fucking expensive though

Sick Innovations also has a nice cage, low profile and tough, and not as pricey

pretty much just go with what you feel like. youre gunna find someone whos a nutswinger for every brand out there. just try em out and see what works for you.

on the warranty note, i have heard of someone having to get the warranty done cuz they cracked the cage and there was no argument about it. cage was fixed for free.

allright we both know how rediculously hard it was to put in your integrated so i'm guessing it will be close to as hard as that was. and the wires wont be a problem those are easy to hide

Z1000 headlight because I think the street fighter lights look tacky, and because the gauge's on a z1000 and a 636 are the same shape, so the gauge should fit fine, no zip tie issues like albers.

$325 for the 2-bar...why not spend $20 more and get the 3 bar?

What about powers subcage?

if you ask ryan fujan (05barbiestunter636) they are great, lol. but if you ask me i say they are too bulky and known to drag on the rear tire when your suspension is compressed hard. they are also a solid peg design, and if your solid peg takes a hard enough hit, it can tweak and bend your subframe, somtimes the subframe will even break where the subcage mounts. sick innovations or omr makes a good subcage.

heres an omr (old man roger) subcage, he is a stunt rider from down in florida that makes these, lots and lots of people ride them and love them, me included. its not too bulky, folding peg, and i got mine on my door step 2 days from when i bought it! if you decide on this and want to know how to get one just let me know:

oh, and what i meant about a powers cage breaking your frame check this out, the way they mount, this little tab right here with enough decent drops will fold into your frame and break it. they give you some little rubber shit to put between the frame and the cage but the rubber shit doesnt stop anything.

ive herd of storys of very bad customer service from them also, but you might be one of the lucky ones that get their product in as little as 2 months. lol. no i dont think it will be that bad, they have just been known for it in the past.

I dont recall ever claiming to be a stunter, or saying that I was going to claim to be a stunter. I said I wanted to learn. If I cant and or dont learn then why does it matter if I have cages on my bike or not. By putting cages on my bike Im claiming to be a stunter? There are 4 bikes that look exactly the same as mine, taking off the front fairing and putting on a z1000 headlight will make my bike look different than everyone elses. Even if I never do a wheelie and fall over making a left turn at 25 mph a cage will save damage to my bike. I don't think you have to be a 'stunter' to own cages or to want to make your bike look different than other peoples. I ask for help on who made good cages and I got help. If you want to critisize me for wanting to learn how to stunt save your breathe, I didnt ask for your opinion on my 'stunter' status. If you want to help me learn then I would greatly appreciate it. And jeff, if you want to ask me about it in person I'm in b-dubs quite a bit and will be thursday.

do what you want 06 i was going to buy a cage for slow drops but have no money for it. so my advice do what you want but if you are wanting to stunt. then nut up and go straight for it don't half ass and then back out wasting all that money.

oh and one other thing, i know your mind is made up but my bike barrel rolled 4 times, on the second time jumped 3 feet in the air, landed and kept rolling, and nothing on my bike except for my cage was touched. burntz is my witness... and it didnt even mess up my cage that bad, just some rash and the cage is tweaked a little. i honestly dont see any other cage on the market doing that. tygershark is the next best choice tho! sick innovations!!! :twisted:

i think i might be gettin a new cage this winter, and its one that i can guarantee prolly noone else in nebraska has... and its fuckin awesome, its a badass design...

i took a look at jordans tygershark today, and it looked like it was built really well... he said hes dropped it a few times also and its not even bent, so you should be set with the whole cage deal, but the subcage is a different story!

and ryan your just jealous that my subcage is sleek and doesnt look like a bunch of 4 inch tubing welded together, and mine wont break my subframe!

just a note about tygershark, I had my cage on backorder for like 2 months, and when i called in to check again they acted like I never put in an order, and said its be another 3 weeks, oh ya and that because they dont have molds out for all bikes yet itd be an extra $70 to add an additional mounting bracket to a cage that wasnt even fitted for my bike. $70 more then their already high ass price. Good cages but i said fuck um and went with Powers stunt works.
