04-06-2008, 04:13 PM
yes jace it has padding on the elbows and shoulders. and a little on the back also. if it fit me well it would be very comfortable. due to the shift i work it will be difficult for you to check it out, maybe sometime if we go riding i will bring it or something.

I think ima go to scm and get the shift jacket i like there. But i need a medium, i think. anywho, i want a jacket to ride with in the summer, leather probably isnt the greatest idea huh?

triumph955i
04-13-2008, 02:02 PM
might get a little warm Nickels, especially if you are riding in town and you are sitting in traffic. Some leather jackets though have some vents that help keep you cool. I would go for textile for a summer jacket though.

01F4izzy
04-13-2008, 04:25 PM
even in textile you will get a little warm, but not as bad as leather

I guess after a while i will probably stop wearing a jacket.. But for now since i have only been fully riding since october, with my experience and seeing my brother with road rash all over his body, i wanna wear a jacket. lol

triumph955i
04-13-2008, 05:33 PM
road rash blows. You can still get shit like road rash wearing jeans and a jacket though. Jackets and jeans just reduce the amount you will get.

when i crashed i was wearing a hoodie, jeans and skate shoes. the hoodie has holes in it and my arm had some rash on it, but my legs were pretty much un touched, but the jeans are tore up. and my shoes actually stayed on! ive herd that most of the time skate shoes fall off when you crash i guess i just got lucky! the funny thing is that at my house i had something to protect my body (jacket) and my bike (frame sliders) but i didnt have either of them on. lol

jaceface

i had my jacket on but was just wearing jeans, got rash all over my knees, its left them pretty fucked up......

01F4izzy
04-13-2008, 05:43 PM
yea i guess i had just a little on one of my knees but nothin too special.

jaceface
04-13-2008, 05:47 PM
yea, knees suck..... if i sit with my legs bent for awhile when i walk it kills my knees... if i walk for awhile my knees will start to kill.... its pretty much the gayest thing ever

My brother lost both his shoes, and one sock. was wearing shorts and a t shirt and went sliding across the interstate at 70 mph on his back.. his clothes were destroyed and had to be cut off.

we should start some clubs. the people who have crashed club (badasses) and the people who are gonna crash club. i dont know what to call them lol

triumph955i
04-13-2008, 06:35 PM
Future badasses?

01F4izzy
04-13-2008, 06:37 PM
haha i suppose that would work. people always say im a bad rider because i have crashed and they havent. i just tell them to fuck off because im more badass. lol

triumph955i
04-13-2008, 06:40 PM
or just tell um they are too much of a puss to push their bike to the limit. I mean sometimes crashes are because of inexperience and stupidity, but other times its not always your fault. Just like car accidents they are not always your fault. Sometimes a dumb fuck causes it. Example: my crash.

01F4izzy
04-13-2008, 06:43 PM
haha, ya... i dont like the people who think that they are never gonna crash.

triumph955i
04-13-2008, 06:44 PM
haha I know. Then I usually hear back a month or so later, that they crashed and are selling the bike cause of it.

01F4izzy
04-13-2008, 07:30 PM
yep, thats usually how it goes.

Nickels
04-13-2008, 08:40 PM
Thank god, i havent crashed yet.

triumph955i
04-13-2008, 08:44 PM
You can always hope you wont crash. But realistically I would hope for a low speed crash, so not much damage to you or the bike.

My mom freaks out everytime she sees me ride, or hears about me riding. She hates the fact i have a bike, and like ride and race.

triumph955i
04-14-2008, 07:58 PM
yea my mom was pissed at my dad when he got me my first dirt bike at 14. But I think she has eventually gotten used to it.

Nickels
04-14-2008, 08:10 PM
I got my first bike at age 21.. last october, lol. So its still new to her. But she also kinda freaks out sometimes when i drive.. ive been driving for like 7 years now. I have no wrecks, but she just knows that someday i will wreck and it will be a really bad accident, lol.

triumph955i
04-14-2008, 08:13 PM
haha yea mothers will always worry. My mom gets mad when i got 2 over the speed limit.

Nickels
04-14-2008, 08:18 PM
lol, my dad says theres no point to even go the speed limit.. might as well go 5 under everywhere you go, lol

triumph955i
04-14-2008, 09:21 PM

01F4izzy
04-15-2008, 02:43 AM
haha i told my mom that i was gonna get a sportbike, and that im set on getting it, and i already had one picked out. the next thing we talked about was insurance. lol she was pretty cool about it actually

95gsx
04-15-2008, 01:11 PM
i never told my mom and one day i walked in and was like
"I'm selling my jeep"
and she says. "I see, so where do you keep your bike"

stupid insurance papers.

^ ownd!

The first time i lost my license, I had to get everything on my own. so currently my parents dont help me with anything, so everything is entirely in my name.. easier to hide things, lol. Although i tell my mom everything..

95gsx
04-17-2008, 03:33 AM
oh its all in my name but she did my laundry that day for some reason (fate i guess) and oops...

Nickels
04-17-2008, 04:54 PM
