Well, had a successful track day Sunday. Came home in one piece. That was the objective for the day. Missed one session around noon as I had worn out the front tire so had a new set of Michelin Power Pure's installed at the track. Getting more confident but have a long way to go. Times were dropping. Didn't have a transponder but a friend was hand timing some laps and she said I was dropping about a second a lap. I just have to trust the bike more. Coming back into this after 20 years off, I have to trust the bike and tire technology. It's not like my old CB750 with crap tires. It WILL hang on. I've washed the front out on that bike more than once and it's just ingrained a bit as to far far I THINK that I can go, even though that it's apparent that I can go a lot more. Did hit a new personal best of 154 at the end of the long straight per the upper limit recording on the speedo. Previous owner was impressed, as he had only done 148 on that straight on this bike with at least another 20 mph drive out of corner 14 onto that straight. Can't wait for the next day.
