wish i coulda been there, i love twisties. there really isnt much in lincoln fuckin nebraska except for kawi curves, and saturn road, there is a few good tight curves off of 33rd. oh ya how could i forget O street, lol.

jake just told me to trust your tires. course i was riding my old bike and wouldn't trust the bike itself. nowdays i'm all about getting it leaned over. only on a good day tho and when the tires are warm.

hmm maybe i will go run the twisties alone for a while till i get better.. ive been reading on my bike and its suppose to be really good at handling but idk im just so nervouse about it... like i can do 190mph no problem... but once i start leaning i start thinking of all the dumb shit like whay if i hit gravel, what if my tire breaks loose.. ugh jim call me when its warm and not windy we need to do the twisties for a whole day...

thats natural to any new rider with a 600 you should be able to throw it down and feel ok about it. but with a 1000 its harder you have one of the better handling 1000's out there but it takes a lot more courage to lean. heavier the harder.

josh that R1 can hold its own in the corners, JUST DO IT!! look at my bike, fork seals are really bad, no stablizer, lowered, and only a 170 tire on and i was dragin my pegs all day. i think you are a straight line kinda guy, nothing wrong with that, you just need trust your bike.

yea i am a straight line guy i like top speeds and just cruising better than twisties... but i do want to be able to keep up better.... i do trust my bike alot.... to be ohnest i just doubt my riding abilities alot.... everytime i get really comfortable something always fucks up so idk im gona just keep trying till i figure it out... jon know i have always had this problem with corners and for some reason its worse going right i can make the smae lean going left alot faster and i have no idea why... just feels more comfortable i guess

practice practice practice. Thats probably the best thing you can do. Also being able to read the road surface before its to late. And I'm there with you, with a combination of laying it down in a corner and my Triumph being expensive as hell to repair if I lay it down. I dont lean to far into corners. I dont trust myself enough to lean that far.
