no, you bought a quickshifter when you could have just learned to ride a god damn motorcycle and saved the money. thats would nail you what? a tenth of a second in 1/4. when you could have went with a programmer, stretched it, lowered it, put it to a good exhaust, basically anything but a quick shifter. instead youre like 75% of people who go and buy a motorcycle, captain billy badass who has no idea what to put his money in so he can look cool for 15 year old girls...

another FYI...bike has a PC3, is stretched, is lowered, has full exhaust, etc. also, i didnt buy the quickshifter.
soooo maaaayyybe before you go assuming anything else and jumping to conclusions and being disrespectful, you should understand the situation a little bit better....hmmm?

wasnt aware that you ran out and bought a bike with a bunch of mods done to already. still doesnt change the fact that you would have been better off learning to race it first.
anyway, no point in talking to a wall...
shaggy853
01-21-2010, 09:52 PM
learning to race it first? how should i have "learned to race it" and how is that better than me taking the bike out and trying out the quickshifter?

Velocity stacks is about all
Mr. Jeff

Braided lines only effect track bikes...

you win. that would be the most cost effective mod to buy for drag racing a bike. ill give you credit for knowing somthing about my bike before you posted, and coming up with decent input, this is good.
buuuuut besides all of that, i dont understand why the average 'know it all' dipshit on a fucking motorcycle forum cant understand that there is no mod that is more cost effective or better than a free one. i already said it once, but here it goes again for anyone not paying attention...I HAVENT MODIFIED THE BIKE, I BOUGHT IT IN ITS CURRENT FORM.
i think its funny that i make a rave about a quickshifter and dipshits start criticizing me about how my bike is modded and what should be different when they dont have a fucking clue about me, my bike, what i want out of my bike or what my goals are with it. I'm not running around claiming its fast, or that im the best rider out there, im not even claiming to know anything more than anyone else, just making a fucking rave about a quickshifter.
so, if anyone else would like to make themselves or this forum in general look any stupider then feel free to continue.
wow i use a lot of commas.

I always looked at a quickshifter. Just being able to hold the gas wide open and shift through gears eliminates some problems I've had.
When I drag race, sometimes my hands will slip when rolling off the throttle to shift. While at KCIR at one point i was gripping the throttle with my finger tips. Other runs I have had to drop because I lost so much time slipping off the clip ons
shaggy853
01-23-2010, 04:23 PM
just twist the throttle and hold it there...i love it
ive never been to the track on a bike, but just riding it on the street i like that the bike takes as little thinking as it does at high speed. i dont consider myself the most coordinated guy in the world and i like that i can keep most of my attention on the road. not only that, i would think that it would be easier on parts than slamming the throttle and/or clutch around. i trust machine repeatability more than human error.
