if you had a conceled wepons permit, would you carry while you were riding?

on another fourm im on this topic came up. a lot of people said yes and they do. i know some peolpe down in florida that do and i just never asked why, prolly cuz everyone in fl does. i dont know if i would, i might but i just dont see the reason why. others said in there area peole get jacked for there bikes a lot other said it makes them feel safer in areas they dont know. i couldn't see too many people in the mid-west doing it, maybe in KC or STL, but not really here. i guess i would if i was in jacksonville, that the city where i was in fl, but you can get a CWP on any street corner there.

would you?

big city maybe...
Shit, lincoln is like 250,000 people even Omaha is 750,000. I wouldn't carry one in either. I could understand why people do, bikes do get jacked a lot. But usually when I ride I dont get off for more than a hour, even when I do I park close enough to where I can see my bike at all times. No body is stealin my damn triumph!

Yes.

In class they tell you to put it on the dash during a traffic stop, but legally all you have to do is tell them you have it, you aren't required to take it out. Now once you tell them I would imagine most cops would tell you to either take it out or get on the ground or something, depending what you were stopped for and how belligerent you were being to the cop. On a bike, its not really an option to put it on the dash so I leave it holstered and just tell the guy ASAP, keeping hands in plain sight.
