so after me and josh get done racing 3 times from a dig and once from a roll we took interstate from there... so im going along and see that jim is aways up there... so i think to myself hmm how about a 180mph flyby... well i was in second gear and just nail the throttle and my back tire spins like crazy and my front tire come up off the ground.. so after riding a 2nd gear wheelie while merging lanes i decide to pull over and calm myself since im not one to ride wheelies... well my engine compartment starts smoking like crazy... so me and josh head to the rest area and wait for a ride and i get back out there a couple hours later to work on it... we took all the fairings off and ran it for 30 min drove it around the parking lot and nothing... ran 100% perfect... so wtf! so we get it all back to gether and got the tools put a way while my bike is idleing... well me and my dumb luck i look over and tell jon that it would be funny if after all that i give it a little rev and if blows up........................... sure as hell did to! as soon as i hit 9 grand coolant flew everywhere... so we took it all apart and found out that on top of my motor there is a coolant line with a bracket on it... well there is a little bold that hold that bracket on and well some how it vibtrated loose so when it got into higher rps it shot coolant every where... so now it about 1:30am and i just got home.. ugh horrible event to happen after owning the 600 and taking the number 1 spot.. lol sorry josh... oh and yes im sure all year is going to be me and you calling each other out... :D well just had to share with everyone my great evening... and thanks josh for the ride to town... and im off to bed

No offense intended but..
I Doubt it your bike has less power than mine when it was stock and it weighs slightly more at 363lbs dry. We can race if you want though :D
Daytona 675 specs :)
11.93 seconds 1/4 mile acceleration, Power, 97.6bhp. Torque, 47ftlb

Those both say around 123bhp and 53 ftlbs. I have always heard they had around 123 and 53 for numbers.

The numbers I posted were to the wheel for a 2006 model

Where did you find those numbers? Every site I go to gives my BHP and its 123.
Edit:
bhp- brake horse power- measures engine output without any restrictions.( like alternator, power steering in a car) So its not to the wheel.
Im confused as fuck right now... :D

You do know what BHP is right? For example my 07 ZX6R was rated at 131 BHP and it put down 98.5HP on the dyno at dynosport stock.
My bhp stock. http://www.motorcyclists-online.com/o1_ ... eview.html (http://www.motorcyclists-online.com/o1_562_2007-Kawasaki-ZX6R-review.html)
BHP is Brake Horsepower...It's the horsepower at the crankshaft
WHP is Wheel Horsepower...It's the power that actually gets to the wheels...From BHP to WHP there is usually about a 15% power loss

Sounds good man. I'll race you before I install the other sprocket. Join the top 10 and call me out.

yes I know what bhp is and I know what whp is.
15% makes it out to be 103whp.
Im supposed to be studying so I have a calculator right here.

so 25% power loss????
That seems ridiculously high for a bike.
I realize power loss in inevitable but still

I have a feeling my daytona is going to get beat by a lot of the 600's on this site. its 8 years old now and bikes in general have advanced so much. We shall see though, I think the only thing its got going for it is torque.

We shall rematch once I get my new gearing installed in a few days. Now I will probally top out around 155 I bet but acceleration will be drastically improved.

That would be crazy, I would love to do it down the line. Hopefully I can get a good payin job over the summer to buy performance parts for my bike. I think Im gunna start with little shit and if its not enough then I will think about turbo.

That's the same boat I am in. I have done all mods that don't void the three year warranty. The only thing I have left to do is install my power commander and get it tuned once I get my sprocket installed.
