the cameras good, and the sound quality is really good, but i dont like the suction mount at all. Doesnt seem secure, and like what happened to you, its easy to trash it.
http://www.helmetcamreview.com/ theres that link. Some decent info.

It has other mounts... N00b

Watch vids on their website... They have it on a race motorcycle and an formula car... If the mount holds their it will hold for what I want. My snowboard surface is slick and prone to flex a lot. Prob not a good combo for a suction cup, it held for 12 runs though befor coming loose

And helmetcamreview confirmed my purchase... Only waterproof I believe. Great video quality, I want mine for my cars.
And your vholdr mounts with velcro... Suction>velcro

I work at Sam's Club here in Lincoln and they have an action cam for cheap. It's the Oregon Scientific ATC2K for like $48 and some change, well below cost. It was just over $100 but it's a cancelled item, meaning when they're gone, they're gone. If I remember right about 20 left.
It comes with several types of strap for all your strap on needs, if your into that kind of thing. Has a nice handle bar type mount so it would work great on a cruiser like Nickels, if he doesn't sell it. Also comes with a 1GB SD card which I think will hold about 30 mins of video on the highest res.
If your interested, they are in the aisle opposite the giant inflatables on display. If you don't have a membership and interested let me know.
